Myra, Aariyon & Jetta LHRA Youth Volunteers: Myha - 15, Aariyon - 16, and Jetta - 19. Myha and Aariyon are a freshman and sophomore in the Milwaukee Public Schools.  Jetta graduated in June, 2009. These 3 young women have volunteered in the office throughout the summer one day a week.  They enjoyed working with the staff so much that they asked to continue the volunteer hours one day a week after school. We are grateful to Jetta, Aariyon, and Myha for their continuous commitment
to LHRA.

LHRA Training Staff:

Our trainers are lead by our Executive Director, Marilyn Miller.  Along with Marilyn, we have other multitalented consultants who work with us.

Dr. Joyce A. Caldwell, Assistant Professor at Ottawa University-Wisconsin. Caldwell teaches courses in liberal arts studies, ethnic relations and multiculturalism, and adult education. Her research and writing focuses on examining cultural and institutional practices and structures that inhibit inclusion and organizational cross-cultural growth. She served as executive director of LHRA from 1990 to 2002 and is an Associate in Ministry in the ELCA. (Wisconsin)

Miguel de Jesus, former LHRA Program Associate, author, and community education & transformation ministry consultant among other projects. (Wisconsin)

Rev. Diane Olson, Interim pastor of Nativity Lutheran Church, team leader of the Reconciling in Christ Ministry Team. She is the proud mother of her adopted 3 year old daughter, Marcia, and also works with the international adoptive community.  (Milwaukee Wisconsin)

Rev. Mark Thompson, continues to share a call with his spouse, Rev. Kristin Nielsen at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI. In addition to congregational work and anti-racism facilitation, Rev. Thompson sits on the executive board of the Milwaukee City Council for the PTA  and has been involved in recent issues of governance for  Milwaukee Public Schools. He also acts as a taxi cab driver for their very involved children, Joshua(12) and Maia (9).  (Wisconsin)
